Marshal Eye was a concept app and portal developed to aid real Fire Marshals with instant communication, allowing the correct and immediate responses and resilience required in emergency situations.
Through a series of workshops and technical systems mapping, we looked at how we could bring such a new and innovative system to life.
The system helped administrators set up complex building structures, unique to every business need, separating key areas with information to equip Fire Marshals with key information and knowledge in the event of an emergency or evacuation.
The solution included developing an App and web portal that work seamlessly side by side, with payment integration through a customer-facing website.
Testing is a fundamental part of app design and development. Learnings are crucial in aiding product development and we welcome clients testing in real-life scenarios so that we can work with them to streamline useability.
In this instance, Marshal Eye organised a day of testing with a local primary school. This involved the client being on-site and walking through a live demo of the app with up to 30 users.
We then worked with the client and the head teacher to capture key insights from every point of the evacuation to identify features that could be improved. These learnings were incorporated into product development pre-launch.
User insight has been vital to the ongoing improvement of the app and we continuously work closely with our client to fine-tune and further develop the model to create a truly user-friendly solution.
Our tried and tested approach ensures that our clients connect with the right audience.
