Meet one of our newest members of the team, Aroosa!

We’ll explore Aroosa’s role as Experience and Conversion Executive and how her unique blend of skills and love for coffee is powering up the energy in our office.

Aroosa will take us on a journey through her dynamic role and share the inside scoop on what makes her a fantastic addition to ThinkEQ.

Hi Aroosa! Great to have you on the team. Can you tell us about your role as Experience and Conversion Executive?

As the Experience and Conversion Executive, my job is to ensure that client sites are generating leads and make sure conversion strategies are as effective as possible. Think of me as a navigator dedicated to enhancing our client’s overall experiences. I focus on improving our websites, usability, and accessibility to make sure every interaction is a seamless one.

How did you get into your current role?

My journey into this role at ThinkEQ was a bit of an unexpected adventure. I initially joined as part of a work experience programme that was meant to last just a few weeks. But I couldn’t get enough of the work, the incredible ThinkEQ team, and the vibrant atmosphere here. 

So, I kept insisting on extending my stay, and, in a twist of fate, I was lucky enough to be offered a permanent position. It goes to show that persistence pays off, and sometimes, the best opportunities come when you least expect them. I’m thrilled to now be a part of this amazing team!

What types of projects do you undertake, and what are the typical project goals and objectives?

I typically start by delving into analytical data, using tools like GA4 and Hotjar to unearth insights. From there, I craft and refine user personas based on audience research, helping us understand our users better. I then pinpoint areas for improvement, guided by user behaviour and conversion data. It’s all about making our websites user-centric. 

I also work closely with our design and development teams, implementing user experience enhancements to create a smoother journey. This could include A/B testing or conversion experiments, adding a touch of science behind what we do to test hypotheses. I also collaborate with our marketing team to ensure our content is tailored for diverse user segments, optimising visibility and engagement. It’s like being a digital detective, and I’m loving every minute of it!

Have you developed new skills whilst in the role?

I’ve had the fantastic opportunity to acquire and learn a new set of skills. I’ve learnt how to gather and interpret analytical data, which helps us make data-driven decisions. Working with the design and development teams has helped me understand what goes into implementing user experience enhancements, and creating smoother digital journeys.

Collaborating with the marketing team has honed my skills in optimising content for search visibility and crafting engaging experiences tailored to different user segments. I’ve also developed strong teamwork and communication skills, which are crucial in making it all happen!

Can you share anything about the tools and methodologies you use?

At ThinkEQ, we’re all about data-driven decision-making, so I often attack analytical data using GA4 and Hotjar. These tools help us gather insights and present results that guide our strategies. Additionally, I work closely with our design and development teams, using XD to help construct new, improved interfaces.

What opportunities are there for professional development and growth within your organisation?

ThinkEQ offers a wealth of professional development opportunities. As a result, I have access to various training resources, including online courses, webinars, and workshops. These avenues allow me to delve deeper into data analytics, refine my user experience expertise, and stay updated with the latest digital trends. 

Additionally, ThinkEQ promotes a culture of continuous learning and growth, which means there’s always room for expanding my skill set and advancing my career. It’s an environment that nurtures personal and professional development, and I’m excited to seize these opportunities for my growth and the team’s betterment!

What does a typical day look like for you?

I kick things off by going through Basecamp to grasp the day’s tasks. I then plan my day, ensuring I’m ready to tackle our exciting projects. Team catch-ups are vital for staying in sync and sharing ideas. 

Collaborating with my colleagues is a daily highlight as we brainstorm and work together. Then, I dive into our projects, ensuring our user experiences are top-notch. It’s a dynamic mix of structure and creativity that keeps each day fun and fulfilling!

What do you enjoy most about working at ThinkEQ?

What I relish about being part of ThinkEQ is the chance to collaborate with a fantastic team. It’s something entirely new for me, and I’m loving every moment of it. The camaraderie and collective effort we put into our projects makes it all the more fun. 

Getting to work alongside such talented and passionate people is not only exciting but also incredibly rewarding. ThinkEQ has created the perfect environment for me to thrive and learn from my colleagues, and it’s a journey I’m embracing.

Can you share a fun or quirky fact about yourself that the team might not know yet?

I’m an unapologetic coffee enthusiast! I adore all things coffee, and my passion even led me to become a barista. So, when it comes to the perfect brew, I’m your go-to person. Coffee isn’t just a drink; it’s a little piece of magic in a cup, and I’m delighted to bring that extra dose of caffeine-powered enthusiasm to the ThinkEQ team! 😄
