The Wrightington Hotel & Health Club is a contemporary 4-star hotel in Wigan.
The hotel boasts an award-winning restaurant, fantastic health and leisure club and spa.
Our challenge was to develop a website with an integrated booking system, whilst establishing a brand and identity which achieved three core objectives: A modern design that was more reflective of the prestige of the hotel; Provide a user experience tailored towards their specific goals via a unique landing page; Integrate various 3rd party systems for a seamless user journey.
We undertook competitor and user research and analysis, and worked closely with The Wrightington Hotel marketing team to reveal a new big idea, 'Make memories, experience luxury.'
Data from the existing website helped us to identify key pages, popular content and also the problems visitors were experiencing to inform our designs whilst creating conversion led landing pages for each audience group.
The brand mark and a modern, luxurious colour palette were created, taking reference from the hotel decor.
We brought our concept online by building a brochure style website with an integrated room booking system. Striking hero images were used to shout about the experience.
We mapped out the various customer journeys, undertook emotional research and provided a new user experience with logical information architecture, to ensure the site was not only visually stunning but pointed the visitor to the areas the hotel wants them to go.
The new website was a resounding success and continues to deliver results.
